The AV Club

The AV Club is a weekly new play process that prioritizes production of a finished one act play at the end of every week, culminating in a “binge” of all of that month’s plays at the end of each month. We are a passionate group of theatre artists in Philadelphia that believe that new work can be more impactful when it is made in the spirit of getting a finished product in front of as many audiences as possible.

The AV Club’s mission is to present audiences with weekly horror plays that terrify and delight, created by Philadelphia theatre artists and give them a chance to express emotions like fear that otherwise go unnoticed in the theatre. It is the mission of the AV Club to give artists a platform to discover and experiment with ways of making theatre old, new, and current, in order to make audiences feel in the way only live theatre can make you feel.
